This artesian spring is 60 feet wide at the surface but twice that wide below water level. The main pool is 80 feet deep. An extensive cavern system goes deeper and wider, but has been blocked off since two divers were lost and died there in 1976. SCUBA divers from all over the southwest come here to earn certification.
