Mojave National Preserve has few formal trails, mostly you hike on dirt roads or you can just strike out cross-country. This trail leads up a low slope, climbs briefly to a skyline saddle, then winds more steeply upward to the rocky ridge top. It is well vegetated all the way, with Joshua trees, mesquite, grass and flowers in season, and several kinds of cactus.
