Since its civilized days in the early 1900s, the North end of West Fairmount Park has largely reverted to wilderness.  This bridge once held a wide carriage road, that crossed the nearby Fairmount Park Trolley line on the famous and still fairly well preserved Stone Spiral Arch Bridge.  The brook has no recorded name. Like all local streams, it shows serious damage from uncontrolled runoff.
