豎崎路兩旁的屋舍建築高低錯落有致，形成依山而建的特殊山城景觀，常成為電影、廣告及藝術家創作的題材，而昔日的老房子己變成一家家的茶藝館及復古式餐館，更增添此處懷舊及熱鬧氣氛。豎崎路是九份重要的縱向道路，全街均由石階組成，沿街走來可眺望聚落，並有許多茶藝館（如悲情城市、九份茶坊等）、藝品館、派出所、雜貨店等，而相當具特色之日式建築『彭園』亦位於此路上。
