From a nice hike from Alpnachstad up to the Pilatus. The Pilatus cog railway transports a lot of tourists up to the Pilatus. It is the steepest rack railway in the world, with a maximum gradient of 48%.

From here you see the rack railway line with several railcars going up to the Pilatus at the same time. I saw a maximum of four railcars going up at the same time.
