The Duloe stone circle, dating to about 2000bce, is the smallest in Cornwall at between 10.2 and 11.7m in diameter but it has the largest stones, the tallest of which stands at 2.65m. The eight stones (one has fallen) are orientated to the points of the compass. A very small ninth stone has been added in the recent past and probably should be removed. The quartz-rich stones are not local to the site and have probably been brought from Herodsfoot mine about two miles to the north west, or possibly Tregartland Tor about a mile to the south east.
