Iron Gate Reservoir is located near Hornbrook, California & was created in 1964 from the Iron Gate Dam, a 173 foot hydroelectric dam.  This view is from Long Gulch, a pulloff on one of the inlets w/ a boat ramp.  This lake is one of four along the Klamath River that will have its dam removed by the year 2020 under the Klamath Economic Restoration Act.  Within the water is green algae, making it toxic for anybody to touch or swim in it.
