大武崙砲台位於大武崙中、情人湖東方，是中法戰爭所遺留下來的古蹟，規模不小，且保存尚稱完整，被國家列為二級的古蹟。大武崙是扼守基隆港囗西側的重要據點，在道光中英鴉片戰爭及光緒的中法戰爭時，清廷均曾派其駐防。

站在觀景台上可以看見風景優美的外木山濱海，大武崙漁港、半月型白色沙灘、基隆嶼盡入眼底。也可鳥瞰幽雅繽紛的情人湖、觀景堡，更與老鷹岩遙遙鄉望，景色相當怡人。
