This is Cahal Pech, a Maya ruin located on the outskirts of San Ignacio in the Cayo District of Belize. The site was occupied as far back as 900 BC but major construction dates to the Maya classic period (250-900 AD). The site was abandoned in the 9th century AD for unknown reasons.
