Bobotov kuk (2523m) is the highest peak of Durmitor mountain and 4th highest peak in Montenegro. Most Montenegrin mountains are visible from Bobotov Kuk, even some mountains in Bosnia and Serbia. The Durmitor National Park was created in 1952 and it was accepted as an UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1980. Durmitor mountain is the centre of Montenegrin mountain and winter tourism. The tourist facilities are mostly around the nearby town of Žabljak.
