The Anchor Mills in Paisley was built in 1886 . Made from red brick and sandstone , it was built for the Clark family who were a successful thread manufacturer and were world leaders in their time .

Work in the mill ended in the 1980's and has since been redeveloped to contain private apartments and businesses
