Minden Nevada is 15 miles east of South Lake Tahoe, and 15 miles South of Carson City - the capitol of Nevada. Minden and Gardnerville merge together as one community in the heart of Douglas county. It sits at 4800 feet above see level. It has a desert climate with about 9" of precipitation per year, but enjoys a lush green valley, irrigated by the abundant snowmelt from the Sierra Nevada mountain range.
