The Viewpoint of Senhora de Lurdes is located at 355 meters of altitude on a granite hill surrounded by rocky shelters. The north side is steep and faces the Douro River. The south slope has a softer slope and boasts a line of wall that extends to the massif located to the east side.

The viewpoint of Senhora de Lurdes is considered one of the most beautiful in the Demarcated Region of the Douro. From here you can see an imposing landscape, composed of the Douro river, the trainstation Foz-Tua and several hills drawn by terraces of vineyards.

The chapel in honor of the Senhora de Lurdes, although simple, possesses an undeniable architectural beauty.
