A view of the airy catwalk one has to cross on the standard summit approach up Mt. Abbot in the Sierra Nevada near Toms Place, California.  This is a few hundred feet below the summit & above the steep snowy couloir, which during this photo was all melted out & consisted of much dusty decomposed granite.  In reality the face of Abbot is much larger than in this panoramic view w/ many ledge slabs the size of a dump truck.  Nearby Mt. Morgan, Mt. Mills, Mt. Gabb, Mt. Tom, & various glacial tarns.
