Winston ridge offers great views of the desert as well as a portion of the San Gabriel that is seldom seen panoramic views. A 5 mile round trip and 1600' elevation change at an average elevation of 6777'. The hike takes you to this secluded 7,003 foot peak on Winston Ridge. Located in the San Gabriel Mountin high country and ajacent the Pacific Crest Trail that criss crosses the Angeles National Forest soon to be San Gabriel National Monument. To get there, take the Angeles Crest Highway to the trail head at Cloudburst Summit.
