Dairying has completely transformed parts of the MacKenzie Basin with these massive irrigators now carpeting the flat areas on valley floors in green grass even though the outer areas and hills are parched.
It's a tough question... is this the best use for the area? Yes it brings much productivity , jobs and supports the local economy but at what cost to tourism and the environment?
Can you spot the biplane that was flying significantly above me (which is a good thing :-)
