Maj. Gen. Patrick Cleburne was the hero of the Battle of Rabun Gap on November 27, 1863 which caused several hundred Union casualties and only 20 Confederates. It saved the retreating Rebel wagon trains from being destroyed. This ststue was erected on October 3, 2009.
