This is the oldest Catholic Church in the city and was built in 1766,with a number of additions in the 19 century. Two huge meet...held in the church in 1827 and1828,ceallig for Catholic Empacipation, and both were attendend by the "liberator"'Daniel O'Connell,the leader of the emancipation movement and one of Ireland's greates historical figures. One of the best pieces sculptor.Hogan grew up in the South Patrish, not far from the church, on Cove street.
