今熊山は奥多摩連山の入り口にある標高505mの山で、戸倉三山の１つの刈寄山の手前にあります。南側のふもとに今熊神社があり、そこから石段と山道を登ってくると50分ほどで頂上です。頂上と山道の途中にはとても景色のよい場所があって、東京の町並みを眺めることができます。頂上にはコンクリート製の祠があります。
