芹沢銈介の家
芹沢銈介は静岡市出身の著名な染色工芸家、「型絵染」での重要無形文化財(人間国宝)保持者で、民芸運動の主要人物の一人でもある。20世紀を代表する工芸家として国際的にも高く評価されている。
「芹沢銈介の家」は、かつて宮城県登米市にあった古い板倉を東京の自宅に移築し住居に改装したもの。「僕の家は、農夫のように平凡で、農夫のように健康です。」と芹沢自身は語っているが、その室内は簡素ななかにモダンさが感じられ、調度は芹沢自身が収集した国内外の民芸品、家具等で設えられている。
住む人の主張が感じられる部屋である。
現在、この住宅は静岡市駿河区の登呂遺跡に隣接する場所に移築されている。

The eight islands of Japan sprang into existence through Divine Intervention.The first two gods who came into existence were Izanagi no Mikoto and Izanami no Mikoto, the Exalted Male and Exalted Female. It was their job to make the land for people to live on.They went to the bridge between heaven and earth and, using a jewel-encrusted halberd, Izanagi and Izanami churned up the sea into a frothy foam. But when Izanagi and Izanami first met on their island, Izanami spoke to Isanagi without being spoken to first.
