This was taken from the inside of a RB.211 -524B jet engine at the Technic museum in Speyer, Germany. The fan has a diameter of 215cm (about 7 foot).
The RB in the name stands for Rolls Royce - Barnoldswick (where it was developed).
The engine was used for Lockheed L-1011 TriStar planes in 1977.
