Yangzhuoyongcuo is located in the southern bank of the Yarlung Zangbo River in Langkazi County, Shannan, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is located at the south of the Yuchu-Yangzhuoyong fault zone, and later becomes a barrier lake through the glacier water. The lake was originally outflow of the lake, the lake by the Mexican music sink into the Brahmaputra, the gap reached 900 meters. Later, due to mountain uplift, the climate tends to drought, the water level gradually decreased, into the Brahmaputra waterway blocked, the lake has gradually become inland lake. The water mainly comes from snow melt water and spring water. The rivers flowing into Yangzhuoyongco are mainly distributed in the south bank of the lake, the southeast bank and the west bank. The catchment area is 6100 square kilometers. The lake itself adjusts the water level, the annual maximum water level in September to October, the lowest water level in May to July.
