The Boole Tree giant Sequoia, one of the largest trees in the world.
California

The Boole Tree is the only large Sequoia left in the Converse Basin Grove. This was once the most extensive Sequoia grove, but was clearcut between 1892 and 1918 with the notable exception of this tree, named for the foreman of the timber operation, Frank Boole.

The Boole Tree is 25.4 feet (7.7 m) in diameter at shoulder height, and 268 feet (82 m) tall. It is currently considered to be the sixth largest tree in the world. It is estimated to be 2100 years old.
