Stefanou Beach (Seitan Limania), Chania, Crete, Greece
Chania
Seitan Limania, a hidden gem on the northeastern coast of the Akrotiri Peninsula near Chania, Crete, Greece, is a breathtakingly unique beach nestled between dramatic cliffs and azure waters. The name “Seitan Limania” roughly translates to “Satan’s Ports,” hinting at the rugged and untamed beauty of this small, secluded cove. A steep and winding path leads down to the narrow, sandy beach, where the turquoise water is so clear you can see the rocky bottom even at a distance. The beach itself is framed by high, rocky walls that offer some natural shade and create a sense of isolation from the outside world. Although the path to reach Seitan Limania can be challenging, it rewards visitors with an extraordinary landscape that feels like an untouched paradise, perfect for those looking to swim, sunbathe, or simply enjoy the spectacular setting.
