Hydroelectric plant "Osogovo" in spring at noon in Garlyano. This small water electric plant is situated near the end of Garlyano village at the river Bistritsa's bed and the road to the abandoned mines in the mountain. The plant is built back in 1927 and is still functioning. The border with Macedonia is approximately 9,5 kilometers from here. Since the mines were abandoned this route has been used mainly by tourists and bicyclists. This is the path for enthusiasts going to peak Ruen, the highest in Osogovo mountain. It is close to the abandoned mines. There are nice villas nearby.
