Bend in the second largest river of Sardinia, near San Vito. The Flumendosa runs here through paleoxzoic rocks rich in metaliferous sulphide deposits. After heavy rainfall during the wintermonths, the sollen river transports eroded sulphides and the typical odor is still noticed in spring.
