是目前长春市占地面积最小的的公园。19世纪末期，这一带是长春城外的一个自然村落，村名叫杏花村，当时中间有一条溪水潺潺流过。1901年，长春俯知府王昌炽上任后，买下杏花村进行重建。1903年，王的幕僚们为了给上司歌功颂德，撰写了《杏花村记》并立了一座石碑，位置在今民主大街1号院子内的西侧。1934年，伪满洲帝国皇帝溥仪举行登基大典。那天做的第一件事就是到杏花村：“祭天”行“告天礼”。长春解放后，随着城市建设规模的扩大，杏花村石碑几易其址，1992年被重新安放在杏花村公园内。
