Initiated in 2000 by the City Government, Kaohsiung Business Exhibition Center is a modern exhibition space and high- standard conference facility for both citizens residents and business communities in order to reach the goal—to further develop local economyies and trades. Taking into considerations of the cost and effect management strategies, the City Government decided to commission the operation to enterprises in 2001. By so doing so, the City Government looked forward to maximizeing the efficiency of the cCenter, and stimulatinge the consumption. Furthermore, it would promote economic competitiveness of Kaohsiung and expand the City’s horizon to the international level.
