Shuqi Rd. climbs steeply through Jiufen, its stone steps presenting the special atmosphere of 1930's architecture. The stone- step road attracts numerous visitors, including artists, media workers, and commercial producers, many of whom come to take photographs here.

When climbing up the steps, visitors can smell the rich scent of tea filling the air. The town's scenic spots, including the Taiyang Mining Office, Peng Garden, Gold Mining Museum, Shengming Temple, and Jiufen Elementary School, are also worth visiting.
