Gigapixel view from the top of Pt. 7,317 (elev. 7,317') near Carter Meadows Summit west of Callahan, California.  With relatively easy access from Cecilville Road below, this small summit has decent views of the Trinity Alps region to the south, the Russian Wilderness to the north, & the Mt. Shasta & Mt. Eddy area to the east.  As I was just about to reach this point there was a mama brown bear & her cub that were hanging around, watching me before they departed down the north face, their tracks freshly visible going down.
