Bear Creek starts at Big Bear Lake in a glacial cirque in the Trinity Alps Wilderness south of Callahan, California. A five mile hike leads one from the valley up into an area of stark white granite surrounded by cliffs. Downstream in the distance one can see Mt. Shasta & Mt. Eddy.
