The Gallo-Roman theater, Mandeure
France
The Gallo-Roman theater of Mandeure, classified historical monument since 1964, is the second of Gaul by the size (142m of diameter): it could show up to 20000 spectators. This site was not isolated: it was one of the public monuments in the vast agglomeration of 180ha which extended on the current communes of Mandeure and Mathay.altitude 25 meters

France is affectionately referred to as "the Hexagon" for its overall shape.French history goes back to the Gauls, a Celtic tribe which inhabited the area circa 300BC until being conquered by Julius Caesar.The Franks were the first tribe to adopt Catholic Christianity after the Roman Empire collapsed.
