We are in the middle of the arid Peruvian coastal desert, south of the city of Ica. We are walking inside the Lost Canyon, or "Cañon de Los Perdidos" towards the north, following the dry riverbed of the Rio Seco. As we penetrate deeper inside the canyon, it gets narrower.
