Old Bright Angel Trail - 1
Before the North Kaibab Trail became the primary trail in the corridor section of the Grand Canyon the Bright Angel Trail followed up to the north rim by tracing up along Bright Angel Creek. Now, the "Old" Bright Angel trail is just a vestige of its former self as it follows the same trace. But, without maintenance erosion forces of nature are reclaiming the old trail. This panorama was taken in the fall as evidenced by the yellow leaves of the Cottonwood trees. Looking down at the nadir one can see just how faint the Old Bright Angel Trail has become.
