The defensive tower was built at the beginning of the eleventh century taking advantage of the natural defenses of the hill. It is the oldest building in Montañana, a cylindrical tower about 9 meters in diameter and 12 meters high, which apparently had four floors and from where you could see the village of Mora de Montañana and Viacamp.Today its ruins are consolidated and still show constructive details, such as the setback of the walls as they ascend, or the access door located on the second floor.
