Milan: Unicredit Tower and Porta nuova
Milan

The just completed Unicredit Tower is with its 231 meters the highest building in Italy.

Started in 2009, the Tower was finished by 2012 and is located quite close to the center of Milan. It was designed by César Pelli, the famous architect who designed also the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This Tower is named after the Italian Unicredit Bank, one of  Europe's leading commercial bank having there its headquarters.
The Unicredit Tower together with two other towers is located in the new Business area of Porta Nuova, "New Gate", centered around the Gae Aulenti Square, a circle with 100 meters of diameter, clearly presented in the 360° Photo.
This Porta Nuova area is also close to Palazzo Lombardia another new tower, 161 meters high, that houses the offices of the Lombardy Region Government.
Milan will host the EXPO 2015 Universal Exposition and is undergoing an important development with many new constructions for residential, business and administration purposes.
