It is located on the south of Muğdat Mosque in Atatürk Avenue in Bahçe Neighborhood of Yenişehir District, Mersin. Mersin Naval Museum serves its visitors with more than 500 pieces that reveal the Turkish Naval Combat history and with its library containin more than 800 books. Chronological information about the naval combat history is provided to the visitors in the 450-square-meter main exhibition hall, and model ships, flags, ensigns, military clothes and decorations, different types of weapons and oil paintings are on display here. Information in digital environment about the legendary Mahmudiye ship, Heroic Hamidiye cruiser, Battle of Preveza and Hayreddin Pasha the Barbarossa, Nusret minelayer, which changed the course of history, Gazi Alemdar and Yavuz Combat Cruisers, heroes of the independence war, is provided in the interactive hall. Mersin Naval Museum is open for visitors between 09:00-17:00 all week except Monday and Tuesday. Museum Pass cannot be used in this museum.
