Lopez Arch, San Juan County, Utah, USA

Lopez Arch is small relative to more majestic arches but provides a unique view into the life-cycle of an arch as this one is very young - the opening only being about 4 feet across.  Located between Moab and Monticello Utah, this arch is a short 1/4 mile from highway 191 and provides a nice stretch of the legs to the traveler willing to walk over and see it up close.

Lopez Arch can be seen from the road but is easy to miss, especially in some lighting conditions.  There isn't a maintained trail to the arch but the beautiful walk is achievable by anyone sure-footed enough to climb household stairs.
