Gigapixel Pano near Enzingerboden in the Großglockner Mountains / Hohe Tauern in the Alps, Austria
Salzburg

In 2018 we were able to photograph a spectacular alpine panorama. Above Enzingerboden we could assemble this panorama from 768 pictures with our mobile equipment. Granted: The mountain station is only a few 100 meters behind us, so the ascent was managed without much effort by gondola and chairlift. But we have the possibility to take panoramas even in areas that are difficult to access. Fully spherical, we can photograph up to approximately 40 gigapixels with the mobile equipment, and with a smaller field of view, we can also photograph much higher detail resolutions. The equipment weighs less than 10 kilograms and can be carried in a comfortable hiking backpack. The battery of the motor head is designed for about 8 hours of operation and, like the camera, is also splash-proof, so there are hardly any restrictions to be expected from this side.
