Geilston Garden , which is part of the National Trust of Scotland , can be found at the north west end of the village of Cardross . It is situated on high ground which gives great views of Port Glasgow and Greenock on the River Clyde .

The garden comprises several different style gardens from a vegetable garden , an orchard , a walled garden and a woodland area which Geilston burn runs through . This photo was taken between the vegetable and orchard gardens .

The gardens surround Geilston House which unfortunately is not open to the public .

It is a great place to go for short walks and has several picnic spots .
