Egremni beach tourists cruise ship stop in summer in the morning. Egremni is one of the most famous beaches of the Lefkada island. It is situated at the south-west coast and because of its length of almost 3 kilometers never gets over-crowded, even though cruise boats often dump tourists for an hour or two for sunbathing. A very popular local cruise tour is "Seven Ionian islands" and this beach is one of its stops.
Egremni beach is the most difficult to reach from Lefkada by land. The road passes through a village then pulls a small and narrow road that ends as a path at the site. Egremni is located under 150 meters high cliffs, and to reach it you must get off on a winding path down.
All the way down one can see the beach and the turquoise blue water, which merges with the horizon. There is no sand on the beach but small smooth pebbles, which can be walked on without special shoes. The beach is suitable for snorkeling fans. The underwater visibility is unique.
