The "Dome" at the reception-lobby of The Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK.), designed by Charlese Correa. The dome-roof is hand painted in the "Rajasthani" traditional style, with Indian Astrology as the theme, the various charts and names and symbols are all related to the "Art of Astology".
Built in 1991-93 the plan is inspired by the original city plan of Jaipur, consisting of nine squares with central square left open.
JKK. is the center of Jaipur's art scene, hosting many plays and art exibhition and seminars relatedd to arts and culture.
Though government run, JKK still has an active calaender through out the year.
