Скала Айвазовского - это огромная, вывалившаяся в море, диобазовая глыба в нижнем парке алупкинского дворца. С ее края открывается великолепный вид на море, Воронцовский дворец и гору Ай-Петри. Здесь художник часами наблюдал за игрой солнечного света в морских волнах, а потом по памяти писал свои картины. Rock of Aivazovsky is a huge diabase boulder deeply dumped into the sea. It is located in the lower park of Alupka city in Crimea. A magnificent view of the sea, Vorontsov Palace and Ai-Petri mount opens from the edge of this rock. From here the painter watched the game of sunlight in the sea waves, and then the memory painted his masterpieces.
