The Air Force Memorial is located in Arlington Virginia adjacent to Arlington National Cemetery and within view of the Pentagon.  The memorial was completed in 2006 and honors the 54,000 airman who have died in combat and all those who have served in the Air Force.  The memorial reaches a height of 270 feet and is patterned from the signature Thunderbirds maneuver of the bomb burst.

This pano was taken on my first visit to the memorial where I was scouting the location for a night shoot.  Normally I do most of my shooting at night.  However, once I stitched the shot I noticed that a red tailed hawk was kind enough to do a "fly by" for the shot.  So if you look carefully at the zenith of the bomb burst you see the hawk.
