Sand Harbor Rocks
Nevada

Sand Harbor sits on the north east side of beautiful Lake Tahoe. The lake has some of the clearest and deapest water in North America. This panoramic was taken about 500 meter south of popular Sand Harbor. The protected cove catches the afternoon sun and prevailing winds and warms the water nicely in the summer time to make swimming enjoyable in the otherwise frigid waters. The lake is about 20 miles in length (30 km) and takes about two hours to drive around.
