Mt. Jimbasan summit (857 m)
Tama

Mt. Jimbasan is actually located on the border of Tokyo metropolis and Kanagawa prefecture. The top of the mountain is one of the popular hiking spots near Tokyo. Several years ago, Mt. Takao, which is located near this mountain, was selected as one of the good sightseeing spots in the Michelin guide, so the the numbers of the hikers are increasing in recent years. Many Yama-girls (Mountain-hiking girls dressed with contemporary sports-fashion) are also visiting here recently.  You can see people operating amature radio, the statue of a white horse, and some shops.
