Karlstadt is located in the Lower Franconian district of Main-Spessart. Especially in the summer months, the old town is a popular destination for cyclists. The panorama shows the access to the city wall. The round tower next to the gate was built in 1522. The outside of the arch is provided with high-water marks. Since the beginning of the city, there was an important cargo handling area in front of the gate.
