Fossil Point
New Zealand

Fossil Point is located slightly east of Cape Farewell, which is the most Northerly Point on the South Island of New Zealand. The cape was named by Captain Cook and was the last land seen by him and his crew of the Endeavour. Fossil Point was named due to the many fossils found in the area.
