The Victoria Eugenia Theatre (in Euskera Victoria Eugenia Antzokia) is a theater located in the city of San Sebastian (Spain). Designed by the architect Francisco de Urcola, was inaugurated in 1912. It has been the scene of major releases zarzuela and all editions of the San Sebastián International Film Festival until 1999, in which the theater was the scene of events as the world premieres of films Vertigo and with the death on the heels of Alfred Hitchcock. Between 2001 and 2007 he took place the most profound reform of the theater. Throughout its century of history it has been the epicenter of cultural life of the city and has emerged as one of the most active and important theaters of Spain.
