Photo captured 7/23/2015 on a 5 day trek through the High Sierra. The thankfully nonexistant clouds in this photo mask the ones from the day before when large storms in the early afternoon kept us from advancing on the trail our first day. They did reinforce the power and beauty of the "Range of Light" however, demonstrating that on a turn such a famous mountain range can show the true power of nature by unleashing the most beautiful, yet powerful set of weather patterns that I have experienced.
